Mark your calendars for Vermont Days on June 14-15, 2025! This special weekend offers an incredible opportunity to explore many of Vermont’s treasures with free admission to select attractions. Whether you dream of a serene day by the lake or an invigorating hike, Vermont State Parks open their gates for complimentary access. History buffs will rejoice with free entry to Vermont State Historic Sites all weekend. Just a short distance from the inn, immerse yourself in history and natural beauty at Hildene, The Lincoln Family Home, the ancestral estate of Abraham Lincoln’s son, Robert Todd Lincoln. The formal gardens here are a true spectacle, and you won’t want to miss “Morning in the Formal Garden.” On Saturday, June 14th, from 10:00 to 11:00 am, you can enjoy a leisurely stroll through these exquisite flower gardens with a horticulturist. Learn about the rich history of the Formal Garden, discover current ecological gardening techniques, and get answers to all your gardening questions while exploring the formal, pollinator, and cutting & kitchen gardens.
